I wanted to love it, but ....

Would rather have had more campaign and White House stories, less about sports. I think the Kindle price is way too high for a first-time author and a relatively short book.

The book was interesting. The author could've gone into more detail about his White House activities. I tired of all of the sports analogies.

A real life story from the heart of US political power.

I consumed the book in less than a day, and the following quotes might just say why much better than I ever could. (I don't write good.)
"This will always be the deal. No matter what I achieve in the future, I will never not be “Reggie Love, former aide to President Barack Obama.” Every misstep I make will be weighed against that title, and will reflect, rightly or wrongly, on the President.
"I also learned quickly that being in the White House basically means you are always moments away from the next crisis.
"Working in the Outer Oval was a true honor. It also came with a fair amount of absurdity."
The deal is that this is a big job, little understood, but the book helped me understand a little about the reality of life in the White House.
